I don’t know about you but I LOVE juice! I love fruit juices like mango, pineapple, peach, etc. But what I don’t love is the heavy sugar content that most juices contain. I also don’t like the extra preservatives that most juices contain. You can literally taste them most times. So I decided that if I was going to drink juice that I might as well make them myself to ensure they are low in sugar and preservatives. I also needed to up my fruit and veggie intake and most cold-pressed juices are really expensive.

I purchased a blender which you can easily find at my favorite shopping place in the world, Amazon! Here’s an affordable juicer you can purchase for $69.97. This one has great reviews.

Getting the juicer is probably the hardest part. Next, head to the grocery store to pick up some fruits and veggies. I thought of juices that I would drink normally and vegetables I would consume. And that’s how I came up with these three juice recipes listed below:

Green Juice - More healthy taste, not as sweet, good for green veggie intake
Half of a cucumber
2 Celery stalks
Half of a lemon
A couple slices of fresh ginger root
1 Green apple

This juice is good if you need to up your veggie intake and don’t mind the juice not being as sweet. This juice is very refreshing and one that I like to drink often.

Orange Juice - Sweet taste
1 Orange
2 Full carrots
1 Red apple

The carrots make this juice nice and sweet! If I want a juice to curb my sweet tooth or craving for sweet juice, I’ll grab this orange juice. I personally don’t like carrots alone so this juice helps me to get my serving of carrots and I can barely taste them!

Pineapple/Mango Juice - Very sweet!
A couple slices of pineapple
A Couple slices of fresh ginger root
1 Mango

I kind of made this recipe up randomly from some ingredients I had in the fridge and it came out great! That’s one thing I’ve noticed about juicing is I just put a bunch of different ingredients together for these juices and they come out really good. So feel free to experiment however you want. I like adding ginger to each recipe because ginger has many great health benefits like detoxing and helping with inflammation.

Each of these recipes makes one 8 oz glass of juice that I put in these cute glass bottles I also purchased from Amazon.

So go ahead and buy you a juicer and begin making your own fresh juices from home! This will save you money and provide great health benefits. Let me know what recipes you come up with and which juice recipe was your favorite.
