Where Have I Been? - Life Update!

Hey guys! Ok I know I can’t just pop up out of nowhere after going MIA for about 7 months but here I am, ha! The year has gone by so quickly that it doesn’t even feel like 7 months have gone by. But don’t worry, I am here to explain where I’ve been and what’s been going on because there’s honestly been so much. And I’m also here to let you know that I am returning to the blog (yay!)

So one of the first events that have occurred over the past 7 months is my husband and I celebrated 2 years of marriage in August! We vacationed at Hilton Head Island and it was amazing. If you’ve never been to Hilton Head I highly recommend 10/10. The island was clean, very calm and peaceful, the people were friendly and the food was great! Hilton Head is located right off of the Atlantic Ocean so you get the chance to experience fresh seafood if that’s your thing (it’s totally mine). Although it rained a couple of times while we were there, it honestly didn’t bother us too much. We even rode our bikes 1-2 miles in the rain after leaving the beach. It was the warm kind of rain that doesn’t slap you across the face and it felt exhilarating. Hilton Head is definitely on the list as one of our favorite vacation destinations.

Another big event that occurred was the launch of my candle company Spirit and Truth! This venture was something I had been working on for almost a year prior and to see the launch actually happen was unexplainable. I’ve had the opportunity to meet many people over the past 3 months and make valuable connections. I’ve also been stretched outside of my comfort zone having to put myself out there in ways I have not done before. I pushed myself to persevere through difficult times especially when I felt like giving up and the product has been amazing! I can’t believe this is just the beginning of this new journey. The last biggest event of the year has been Sir and I buying a house! Yes, we are homeowners. The process wasn’t easy and we felt discouraged plenty of times but God blessed us with a great home in a neighborhood I absolutely LOVE! This home is the start of our journey to creating memories for our family and an inheritance for our children.

So with all 3 life events happening, I think it’s clear to see that my life has been a bit busy. Not to mention I am in my final year of graduate school which adds another layer of busyness.

But I am excited to be blogging again and I’ve received feedback that you all are ready to read more blogs as well!
